MINUTES OF BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S OPERATING BUDGET APPROVAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER: President, Tom Voss, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m., at the Gasparilla Cabana, 160 Jose Gaspar Drive, Englewood, Florida, the location specified in the meeting notice.
CONFIRMATION OF PROPER MEETING NOTICE: Joyce Kelbaugh confirmed that the appropriate notice had been posted in accordance with the Association’s documents.
DETERMINATION OF A QUORUM: A quorum of the Board was established with four (4) directors in attendance: Tom Voss, President; Dave Hubbard, Treasurer; Joyce Kelbaugh, Secretary, and Ron Hook, Director at Large. Gary Payne, Vice President was absent. Kathy Waterhouse of Antares Group, Inc. was also present.
BUDGET: Dave Hubbard stated that everyone had received the proposed budget and asked for questions. Following a general discussion about both the operating and reserve budgets, a motion to approve the operating budget of $209,300, or $295.00 per month per unit, as presented was made by Dave Hubbard and seconded by Tom Voss. The vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENT: Coupon books for the $295 monthly payment will be mailed out before the end of December. The bank will automatically change the monthly withdrawal for those who are on that plan. As of November, 2008, 29 owners are using this plan. The Treasurer indicated that this plan works well for both the owners and the management company and stated that anyone not enrolled in the plan and who would like to join should contact Kathy at the management company.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to properly come before the Board at this meeting, a motion was made by Dave Hubbard to adjourn and seconded by Joyce Kelbaugh. All yes by voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
